Needless to say Justin was sad. He had been looking forward to the hot fudge cake we had been telling him about for months. So today was the day. We got there no line sat down and ordered the big boy combo and of course you guessed it ....HOT FUDGER CAKE!!!

Spring Training Mets Style!

Just had to capture this one love it

Had to include our fireman!!!

Me and Justin before the parade

Go Mets!
Today was our opening day at Eastvale. Since I am one of the team moms I had to get up early and bake a cake for the cake walk. My other team mom Patii had to organize the meeting place and get everyone together. Little did Patti and I know we were going to be in the parade. Oh well it was all worth it as we passed the firemen standing there and I hollered out can we get a picture with you all? They of course said yes. What a great day.

The song While I'm Waiting in the movie Fireproof

This song is wonderful. It makes you understand a little better that things take time and does not happen overnight like most of all os us would want. Be sure to mute my music at the bottom of the right hand side before playing this song.

CORALINE

Coraline Jones is a girl of 11 who is feisty, curious, and adventurous beyond her years. She and her parents have just relocated from Michigan to Oregon. Missing her friends and finding her parents to be distracted by their work, Coraline tries to find some excitement in her new environment. She is befriended--or, as she sees it, is annoyed--by a local boy close to her age, Wybie Lovat and visits her older neighbors, eccentric British actresses Miss Spink and Forcible as well as the arguably even more eccentric Russian Mr. Bobinsky. After these encounters, Coraline seriously doubts that her new home can provide anything truly intriguing to her, but it does; she uncovers a secret door in the house. Walking through the door and then venturing through an eerie passageway, she discovers an alternate version of her life and existence. On the surface, this parallel reality is similar to her real life--only much better. The adults, including the solicitous Other Mother, seem much more welcoming to her. Coraline is more the center of attention there--even from the mysterious Cat. She begins to think that this Other World might be where she belongs. But when her wondrously off-kilter, fantastical visit turns dangerous and Other Mother schemes to keep her there, Coraline musters all of her resourcefulness, determination, and bravery to get back home--and save her family.

This was a really cool movie that kept your attention throughout the entire show. Especially in 3-D. My son who is 7 and his friend who is 12 loved it!!!

Searching for Wolf

My friend and her family went to Octatillo Wells this weekend and took their beloved dog. Around 2 am the dog wandered off and they have been able to locate him. They have posted photos, contacted the Ranger station, all over the internet, and everything to try to find the family dog. Their 3 kids are missing him terribly and they are wondering if he is ok, if someone has him is he out there wandering still. I hope they get Wolf back and sooooon. This is heartbreaking to go through. Best of lick in your search.

CLASS OF '91 GIRLS REUNION

Amy Day and Kim Cassidy

Amy, Mindy, Kim, Barbara, Amy and Kieu

The class of '91 met up at BJ's in Brea

Posing for the camera

Just like old times

A cute collage of all our photos
We had met up with some friends from La Mirada High last night at Bj's in Brea. It was so much fun. We needed to have a yearbook handy to recall some of the people's names that we were talking about(like the blond boy that said Hi on the ship) anyways we were there for about 5 hours and then some were there longer. It felt so good to reconnect with old friends. It felt like we were back in high school just able to drink legally now!!!

Family Game Night

Justin loves to play games with mom and dad. So grandma came to our house today and brought Justin a new game called connect 4. He loves this game so much he even beat old mom and dad at it. Yikes our first grader is smarter than us. It teaches counting so it is a good learning experience for him and for us. Even if we lose!

New Years at Glamis 2009
Our family went with Paris, Maria and a group of their friends to Glamis. Now mind you I am not one for the cold or dirt which Glamis has both to offer, but I will say I did have a great time learning to ride a quad. I want to go again. No that did not come out of my mouth did it? Thanks again for the great time honey... you sure know how to get me to try something new.
