Our whole cul-de-sac and all the kids and relatives walked to our local park to see the carnival and the huge firework show that took place this weekend. The carnival was crazy with kids and people everywhere. We set up our spot for the fireworks early that day and people were still sitting pretty close to us. It was a jammed pack event and I never saw so many people at once from our community. The kids had a blast with all their friends and we loved the fireworks!!

We had Justin's photos taken for his 7th birthday that is coming up on July 1st. He is so excited to be turning 7 you would think he is getting a car or gets to date. He is not don't worry!! Just to be young again and have no worries except who to play with or which game should I play in my nintendo DS. Enjoy life little one for we all grow up way to quickly. Enjoy being 7!

Justin's Kindergarten class had a performace at Harada Elementary School today. They sang for the awards ceremonies. It was really cute and Justin did a great job. They sang the song:

You never know with Justin what he will do and he always adds a little pizazz to the end of his performances. Today was no different. It was too cute for words. Now he is going in to first grade!

Our family went to Huntington Beach with some good friends of ours that I actually grew up with. Tonya and I have been friends ever since she moved in across the street from me when I was five and she was 4. Well that is almost 30 years ago. How time flies! We went to the beach to escape the heat and it was a little cooler there not as much as we would have liked. but anything less than 100 is great!.

Justin has his private swim lessons for the next two weeks. After these are done we are taking a break and will be focusing on first grade. Justin is like a fish in the water. He loves to swim and thinks our neighbors pool is his own. Justin likes to show off in the water, jumping off the diving board is his favorite. If he pays close attention his coach said he would be great but Justin likes to play and do things that are fun.

Hard at Work!

My friend Sonia and I always hard at work whether it be answering the phone, deciding what to order for lunch or talking about our upcoming weekend plans. Hopefully Dr. Stevens is not going to read this one!! At least I am not at work typing on my blog huh? Oh well just wanted to give you a glimpse of my hard days.

Happy Father's Dad

Justin and I went to Rose Hills this Father's Day.

I introduced him to my dad who is no longer living.

My father passed away when I was 15 1/2.

Justin has never seen or heard my father. The only photo that I wil ever have of the two of them is Justin at my dad's grave. It was a very sad day to sit and visit with someone you will never hear or see again on this earth.

We also went to Daryl's dad grave site and sat there as well. Justin had grandpa Tanimoto in his life only for a short while, but enjoyed every minute of it. These are the days you miss the ones that are not here and cherish every minute of the loved ones that are. Happy Father's Day!!! We miss ya tremendously!

Summertime is fast approaching and the weather is getting hot quick. We have the perfect lawn for a slip-n- slide downhill. Aydan and Justin played all morning on the slide. What a great way to cool of with water

The Tanimoto Family and my friend Melinda and Eric and her daughter Kylie went to Laughlin this last weekend. What a blast!! Our other friend Sonia at work could not go with us this trip but we will be going again soon. We took the boat out and the weather was perfect. The water was a little cold for me. Daryl was trying to get on his raft and backwards he went not once but twice. That was the funniest thing ever. Justin played by himself floating in the little boat I bought for him. Daryl hit the Royal Flush on video poker lucky guy!! My friend and I played and no luck for us. We had a great time sitting at the bar drinking strawberry dacquiri's and and listening to the worst singers ever. We ate at Joe's Crab Shack that overlooked the water and overall we had a blast can't wait to go back soon.
